Worcester, MA (November 20, 2012) - The City of Worcester announces the first Public Hearing for the Fiscal Year 2013-2014 Annual Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Action Plan.
The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Action Plan is submitted to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development and serves as the City's application for use of its HUD housing and community development funds during the Program Year for the following HUD resources:
The first Public Hearing will seek input on housing and community development needs and provide guidelines for submission of an RFP for CDBG resources:

Request for Proposals for all Federal funds will be available at 9:00 AM on Monday, December 17, 2012 at the City of Worcester, Executive Office of Economic Development, City Hall, 455 Main Street, 4th Floor, Rooms 402 and 405, Worcester, MA 01608. Electronic copies will be available at http://www.worcesterma.gov/e-services/document-center/neighborhood-development.
Completed RFP's are due at the Executive Office of Economic Development by 5:00 PM on Tuesday, January 22, 2013.
The City will provide interpreters for non-English speaking or hearing-impaired residents upon receiving a request at least four (4) days prior to the scheduled hearing date.
