WORCESTER, Mass. – In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, the City of Worcester is hosting a Mental Health Summit to bring awareness to mental health and the stigma against those with mental health issues.
The Summit is a collaboration with the Mayor’s Mental Health Task Force and the Department of Health and Human Services. Mental health professionals, individuals with lived experiences, and state and city officials will be in attendance.
The Summit will kick off with a meditation for mindfulness and a mental health walk around the Worcester Common before a speaking program inside City Hall.

Who: Mayor Joseph M. Petty, City Manager Eric D. Batista, DHHS Commissioner Dr. Matilde Castiel, Senator Robyn Kennedy, and others.
When: Wednesday, May 24, 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Where: City Hall Plaza, 455 Main St., (will relocate to 3rd floor of City Hall at 4:30 p.m.)
