The City of Worcester, the Worcester Arts Council, the Salisbury Cultural District and the Worcester Cultural Coalition will formally sign a Cultural Compact with the Massachusetts Cultural Council on Monday, June 18 at 11:30 a.m. at City Hall (third floor, Esther Howland Chamber).
The partners, while working collectively to boost the local economy through creative expression, will forge a new and formal cultural relationship. The Cultural Compact was designed by the Massachusetts Cultural Council to promote a shared vision for cities and towns to recognize the power of culture and make communities better places for people to live, work and thrive. Worcester is one of six cities selected to pilot this statewide initiative.
