WORCESTER, Mass. – City Manager Eric D. Batista announced Thursday the launch of a public survey to solicit feedback regarding the development of a five-year municipal operations Strategic Plan for the City of Worcester.
Residents are invited to provide input to help inform the plan’s mission, vision, values, and objectives and strategies to guide the priorities of City departments for Fiscal Years 2025 – 2029.
“This is an incredibly important opportunity for community members to contribute to the creation of the City’s Strategic Plan, which will help guide municipal operations over the next five years,” said City Manager Eric D. Batista. “I want to encourage everyone to take the time to review the draft and please fill out the survey. Community input is essential to defining our municipal roadmap. We look forward to seeing the results of the survey.”
The plan to date has been informed by extensive self-study, internal discussion, and community input dating back to the previous FY20 - 24 Strategic Plan. The community engagement process has included listening sessions, focus groups, surveys and feedback solicited during the development of the Worcester Now | Next long-range plan and other city-wide municipal plans.
Now, the municipality is seeking the public's input to help fine tune the resulting draft strategies for the FY25 – 29 Strategic Plan. The mission, vision, values, and objectives aim to reflect the needs and priorities of Worcester's residents while maintaining inclusive, equitable, and efficient local government.
The public survey will be open through Wednesday, June 26, 2024.
