Worcester, MA (April 25, 2016) - The City of Worcester and the Friends of Hope Cemetery will host a ribbon cutting ceremony this week to celebrate the completion of a joint project to install a new water infrastructure system at the city-owned cemetery.
The Friends of Hope Cemetery privately raised $250,000 last year to fund half of the cost of the project. The City of Worcester will fund the remaining half. The new water infrastructure replaces a deteriorating system, providing visitors and cemetery staff with access to water across the 168-acre cemetery.
