The Worcester Division of Public Health (WDPH) Academic Health Collaborative (AHC) was originally established in 2014 to create bi-directional relationships between WDPH, the Central Massachusetts Regional Public Health Alliance (CMRPHA) and local colleges and universities. By setting up a system where academia could inform the practice of public health while WDPH informed academic programs, the AHC's primary goal is for WDPH staff to mentor future public health professionals and developing a pipeline for the public health workforce.
