On May 1, 2024 members of the Worcester Police Department Vice Squad had a search warrant for a residence and a vehicle on Main Street. At approximately 6:30pm, the target of the warrant, sixty-five-year-old Peter Rivera, was seen walking out of the home and towards the vehicle involved. Officers executed the warrants and brought Rivera up to his apartment where he was read the search warrant.
After a brief conversation, Rivera told officers that he had drugs on his person. Officers recovered 9.1 grams of crack cocaine and 3.7 grams of Fentanyl. Rivera said there was more drugs in his bedroom, where 19.6 grams of crack cocaine, 4.6 grams of Fentanyl and drug paraphernalia were recovered. A total of $2,481 in cash was also recovered on his person and inside of the apartment. Rivera was arrested and charged with Class A, Possession with Intent to Distribute and Trafficking in Class B 18-36 grams.
