On June 29th 2023, Worcester Police Vice Squad officers were conducting a drug investigation on Enfield St. At about 8:10 PM, officers stopped twenty-three-year-old Winder Moronta, the target of the investigation, as he left a residence. Officers obtained a warrant for Mr. Moronta’s residence, and entered the apartment.
Officers discovered about 210 grams of what appeared to be cocaine, 146 grams of what appeared to be fentanyl, ammunition, and various materials often used in the packaging of illegal drugs. Mr. Moronta does not have a license to carry firearms or an FID card. As a result of the search, Mr. Moronta was placed under arrest and is charged with Trafficking in a Class B Substance (Cocaine) over 200 Grams, Trafficking in Fentanyl 100-199 Grams, Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card, and Tampering with a Record, Document, or other Object for Use in an Official Proceeding.
