On June 17th 2022 at about 9 AM, members of the Worcester Police Vice Squad were in possession of a search warrant for a King St address. The target of the warrant was resident Jose Correa, forty-five-years-old. While conducting surveillance, officers observed Mr. Correa exit the front of the address. Officers approached him to detain him, and he ran at a full sprint through back yards on King St where he discarded numerous knotted bags of suspected cocaine and fentanyl. Mr. Correa was eventually apprehended at the intersection of King and Queen St, where he resisted arrest and refused to comply with commands to put his hands behind his back.
Officers executed the search warrant at the residence, and located a loaded handgun, magazines, numerous rounds of ammunition, and cocaine. Mr. Correa is charged with Trafficking in Cocaine 100-199 Grams, Possession of a Class A Substance (Fentanyl, Subsequent Offense), Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute (Subsequent Offense), Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm without an FID Card, Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, Resisting Arrest, and Improper Storage of a Large Capacity Firearm, and Firearm Violation with Two Prior Violent Crimes or Drug Offenses. He will be arraigned in court.
