On February 12th 2024, Worcester Police Vice Squad officers had a search warrant for an Ericsson St apartment. At about 3 PM, officers were conducting surveillance of the residence when they observed fifty-five-year-old resident Desmond Chambers pull into the driveway. Officers detained Mr. Chambers and found several bags of what appeared to be crack cocaine in his pocket.
Officers entered the residence and located many additional bags of what appeared to be cocaine and crack cocaine, fentanyl test strips, and cash. In addition, officers located a handgun on top of the refrigerator.
Mr. Chambers does not have a license to carry firearms. He was placed under arrest and is charged with Trafficking in a Class B Substance (Cocaine) 36-99 Grams, Possession of a Firearm Without an FID Card, Possession of Ammunition Without an FID Card, Possession of a High Capacity Feeding Device, Improper Storage of a Firearm, and Possession of a Firearm in the Use of a Felony.
