On February 14th, 2025, Worcester Police Vice Squad officers were conducting surveillance in the area of Park Ave. Officers noticed one man, identified as fifty-five-year-old Richard Pileggi, hiding behind a dumpster and pacing back and forth. They observed Mr. Pileggi meet with the operator of an Acura. Officers observed Mr. Pileggi lean into the vehicle and conduct a hand-to-hand transaction with the operator.
Officers recovered what appeared to be cocaine from Mr. Pileggi, who also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Other officers stopped the Acura, and placed the operator, forty-seven-year-old Gary Tyndale of Vineyard St under arrest.
As a result of their investigation, officers applied for and were granted a search warrant for the Vineyard St address. At about 3:30 PM, officers entered the residence and located a large amount of what appeared to be cocaine, a large amount of what appeared to be fentanyl, and packaging materials. Mr. Tyndale and fellow resident Andre Tyndale were placed under arrest and charged with Trafficking in Heroin 37-99 Grams, Trafficking in Cocaine, and Possession of a Class D Substance with Intent to Distribute. Andre Tyndale had an additional outstanding arrest warrant.
