On June 14th 2022 Worcester Police officers were dispatched to a call for an Audi that had just been stolen while it was running outside a Main St address. At about 5 AM, officers received an update that the Audi was supposed to parked in the far corner of a Mill St parking lot. Officers arrived and observed two males sleeping in the stolen car. They approached the vehicle, and the driver, identified as Kevin Abreu, twenty-six-years-old of Hawley St, woke up and attempted to shift the car into “drive” as officers removed him from the vehicle.
Officers removed the passenger, Nathan Cepeda, twenty-three-years-old of Cutler St, and found a loaded handgun in his waistband. Mr. Cepeda also had active arrest warrants for past firearms charges. He does not have a license to carry firearms.
Both individuals were placed under arrest. Mr. Abreu is charged with Use of a Motor Vehicle without Authority and Trespass. Mr. Cepeda is charged with Trespass, Use of a Motor Vehicle without Authority, Unlawful Carrying a Firearm, Unlawful Carrying a Loaded Firearm, Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card, Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, and Armed Career Criminal Level 1.
