On March 10th 2022 at about 8:30 AM, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to Dollar Tree on Southbridge St for a report of a past break. Upon arrival, officers spoke with employees, who told them that the store had been broken into overnight and money had been stolen.
After watching surveillance footage and conducting a preliminary investigation, officers developed probable cause for the arrest of a recently-fired former store employee, identified as David Pabon, forty-five-years-old of Shrewsbury, and a current store employee, Patricia Tavares, forty-nine-years-old of Shrewsbury.
Mr. Pabon and Ms. Tavares are charged with Breaking and Entering in the Nighttime, Breaking or Injuring a Safe/Vault/Depository, Larceny in a Building, Larceny from a Person, Vandalism, and Larceny over $1200. In addition, Mr. Pabon had a default warrant for his arrest. They will be arraigned in court.
