On May 12th, 2023, at about 12:15 AM, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to the area of the Free Play Arcade for a report of a male holding a handgun and “cocking” it back to load it. The caller reported that the male then placed the firearm in his waistband. Officers checked the area for a male matching the description given by the caller.
Officers spotted a male, identified as Pablo Roman, nineteen-years-old of Barber Ave, in the area of the Worcester bus hub on Foster St. Officers approached Mr. Roman, who sprinted away from them. Officers caught up to him and observed a firearm through an open pant leg. Officers ordered him not move and placed him in handcuffs. They removed the handgun and a loaded magazine, and confirmed that Mr. Roman did not have a license to carry firearms. He was placed under arrest and is charged with Unlawfully Carrying a Firearm, Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card, Disorderly while Armed, and Trespassing.
