On May 22nd 2023 at about 2 AM, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to 802 Main St for a report of gunshots. Officers investigated the incident and determined that shots had been fired. As part of the follow-up investigation, WPD Detectives developed probable cause for the arrest of fifty-year-old Tyaune Berry of Main St in connection with the incident.
Mr. Berry does not have a license to carry firearms, and officers communicated via department email that there was probable cause for his arrest. On June 6th 2023 at about 8:40 PM, officers assigned to the Neighborhood Response Team observed Mr. Berry operating a motor vehicle in the area of 1260 Main St. They pulled over the vehicle and placed Mr. Berry under arrest for Unlawfully Carrying a Firearm, Unlawfully Carrying a Loaded Firearm, Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Dwelling, and Armed Career Criminal Level 3.
