On January 14, 2025, at approximately 7:00 PM, Worcester Police officers with the Neighborhood Response Team observed a vehicle come to a stop with its front tires over the white line at a stop sign. Officers also confirmed that a male with three warrants was associated with that vehicle.
Officers pulled the vehicle over and found the male, fifty-year-old Phisath Saphirak of Worcester, in the passenger’s seat. Officers informed him that he was under arrest for his warrants. Officers found Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia on the floor where Saphirak was sitting, and Methamphetamine on his person.
A purse belonging to the vehicle’s operator, forty-one-year-old Theresa Mascroft, was discovered in the vehicle. 14 small baggies of Fentanyl, 7 baggies of Methamphetamine and three baggies containing various pills were found inside of her purse. The Fentanyl and Methamphetamine were weighed and found to be considered a trafficking amount.
Ms. Mascroft was charged with Possession to Distribute Class B, Possession w/ Intent to Distribute Class E, Trafficking in Class B 18-36 Grams, Fentanyl Trafficking in More Than 10 Grams and a Stop Sign Violation. Mr. Saphirak was charged with Possession of a Class B substance, Possession to Distribute Class B and the three warrants.
