On November 29th 2023, an officer assigned to the Neighborhood Response Team was on patrol in the area of Main and Richards St when he observed a stolen motor vehicle.
At about 9:55 AM, the officer saw two men working on the stolen Kia with Michigan license plates in the lot of 973 Main St. The officer called for back up then detained the men, one of whom was identified as thirty-one-year-old Ryan Madelle of Spencer. Officers removed a handgun from Mr. Madelle’s pocket. They also located bags of what appeared to be powder cocaine and crack cocaine. Mr. Madelle does not have a license to carry firearms and was placed under arrest.
Ryan Madelle is charged with Receiving Stolen Property over $1200, Unlawfully Carrying a Firearm, Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, Possession of a Class B Substance with Intent to Distribute (crack cocaine), and Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm while Committing a Felony.
