On May 9th 2023, officers assigned to the Neighborhood Response Team were on patrol in the area of May St. At about 7 PM, officers observed a black Audi cross over the double yellow line, causing two vehicles traveling in the opposite direction to take action to avoid a collision. Officers activated their blue lights and pulled over the vehicle, which had Dealer license plates out of Georgia. An occupant of the vehicle, forty-three-year-old Davien Watson of Russell St, had an outstanding arrest warrant and was placed under arrest.

Officers ran after him and eventually located him in a residential backyard. They placed him under arrest and located a bag of what appeared to be fentanyl in his pocket.
Officers located two handguns in the vehicle and a silencer. Mr. Davidson did not have an active driver’s license or an active license to carry firearms. He is charged with two counts of Carrying a Firearm without a License, two counts of Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, two counts of Improper Storage of a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm Silencer, Possession of a Class A Substance, Armed Career Criminal Level 3, Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card, Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest, Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Illegally Attaching Plates, Operating an Unregistered Vehicle, Operating an Uninsured Vehicle, and a Marked Lanes Violation.
