On October 20th 2022 Worcester Police officers assigned to the Neighborhood Response Team were on patrol in the area of Main and Oread St. At about 12:40 PM, they observed a male, identified as Adonny Aviles, eighteen-years-old of Montreal St, conduct a hand-to-hand transaction with another male who had approached him on the street. Officers observed Mr. Aviles open a fanny pack, unzip a small case, and hand the male two small white items. The male gave him paper money.
Officers stopped the buyer and located two bags of what appeared to be crack cocaine. Officers stopped Mr. Aviles and recovered several bags of what appeared to be crack cocaine. They also discovered a loaded black handgun in his waistband. Mr. Aviles does not have a license to carry firearms, and was placed under arrest. He is charged with Distribution of a Class B Substance, Possession of a Class B Substance with Intent to Distribute, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, and Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm.
