On September 26 at approximately 1:30 PM, Vice Squad Officers were working in the area of Providence Street when they observed a male later identified as Jose Garcia and a female later identified as Allyssa Champagne make a drug transaction in a white four door sedan after Mr. Jean Gomez entered into the back seat. Vice officers stopped Gomez after he exited the vehicle and recovered a small piece of cocaine.
Vice Officers then stopped Mr. Garcia and Ms. Champagne in the Xtra Mart at 280 Providence St and recovered nine knotted baggies containing fentanyl. Officers also discovered that in the car was a loose white chunk and a knotted baggie of a white chunk weighing approximately 3.5 grams believed to be cocaine. In addition, officers seized a working digital scale and a paperwork.
Jose Garcia, 33, of 9 Tanner Road, Webster was charged with Distribution of Class B Substance, Possession of Class B w/ Intent to Distribute, Possession Class A w/ Intent to Distribute, and Conspiracy to Violate Controlled Substance Laws.
Allyssa Champagne, 41, of 19 Northborough Road, Marlborough was charged with Distribution of Class B, Possession of Class B w/ intent to Distribute, Possession Class A w/ Intent to Distribute, and Conspiracy to Violate Controlled Substance Laws.
Mr. Gomez will be summonsed.
