The Worcester Police Department today announced street closures and anticipated traffic delays for Saturday, August 19th due to CENTRO's Annual Latin American Festival at City Hall. Drivers can expect traffic restrictions and detours during the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
There will be the following road closures:
Front St from Main to Church will be closed from 6 a.m.-10 p.m.
Franklin St from Main to Church will be shut down from noon-10 p.m.
Main St from Pleasant St to Chatham St will be blocked from 5 p.m.-10 p.m.
The following will be posted no parking from 6 a.m. on Saturday, Aug 19th until 11 p.m. on Saturday, Aug 19th

Due to heavy pedestrian crowds associated with the event, motorists are encouraged to exercise caution when traveling in these areas. The Worcester Police Department is advising drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians to take extra care to obey the rules of the road and to be considerate of others traveling on local streets.
Parking will be limited around the area of the event; the public is encouraged to utilize municipal garages.
