The annual Worcester Police Memorial Ceremony will be held on Sunday, May 21st at 9:30 AM. The ceremony will take place at Worcester Police Headquarters at the flag pole rotary.
The ceremony honors members of the Worcester Police Department who passed away in 2022. The tradition has been carried on since the late 1800’s.
Chief Steven M. Sargent will preside over the ceremony. The event will include the traditional bell-ringing and wreath laying ceremony. The speaking program includes Councilor Kate Toomey, Chair of Public Safety; Terrence Reidy, Secretary of Public Safety and Security and Joseph Early, Worcester County District Attorney.
