On Monday, July 3, 2023 members of the Worcester Police Gang Unit were in possession of a search warrant with the target address being 2 Bedford Ave Apt. 1. The target of the warrant was identified as 20-year-old Juan Burgos. At 6 AM officers made entry into the apartment and secured Mr. Burgos and other individuals in the dwelling. As police searched the apartment, a 15-year-old male attempted to leave the premise with a Louis Vuitton handbag. Officers discovered that the bag had a working firearm in it. The teen told police that the firearm belonged to him.
The juvenile was charged with Possession of a Large Capacity, Possession of a Firearm without FID, Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, Ammunition, Possession without FID, Improper Storage of a Firearm, Improper Storage of a Large Capacity Firearm, Failure to secure Large Capacity Firearm with Children Present.
Officers found ammunition in Mr. Burgos’s bedroom along with paperwork.
Mr. Burgos was charged with Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, Possession of a Firearm without FID, Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, Ammunition, Possession without FID, Improper Storage of a Firearm, Improper Storage of a Large Capacity Firearm and Failure to Secure Large Capacity Firearm with Children Present.
