On January 24, 2022 at approximately 12:45 PM Worcester police were dispatched to 59 Lafayette Street for a report of a possible carjacking.
During the investigation, police learned that a victim was in his car on Harding Street when two male suspects entered his vehicle. The suspects told the victim that they were taking his car. The victim fled on foot.
A Worcester Police Sergeant spotted the stolen vehicle traveling on Madison Street toward Main Street. A motor vehicle stop was conducted on Chandler Street. The males in the vehicle were identified as the suspects who stole the vehicle and were placed under arrest.
During a motor vehicle inventory Alprazolam pills were found in the vehicle.
Timothy Kasputis, 39, of 50 Williams Street, Worcester was charged with carjacking, larceny from a Person, driving with a suspended License, possession of Class E substance.
Mr. Kasputis was in possession of a cell phone that was not his at the time of his arrest.
Cedric Turner, 43, of 14 Ashton Street, Worcester was charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle and possession of class E substance. He also had an active warrant for his arrest.
