The City of Worcester operates an AES wireless mesh system to provide "Masterbox" monitoring service for building fire alarm systems throughout the City for a nominal monitoring fee. Information for installing and monitoring transmitters for this service can be found below.

The Worcester Fire Department shall be notified of all sprinkler shutdowns daily in accordance with 527 CMR 13.3.3.4.1.4 by calling 508-799-1753. A permit to shut down any sprinkler system to perform repairs, modifications or additions shall be obtained from the Fire Prevention office in accordance with MGL 148 s. 27A. Any work to modify or add to a new or existing sprinkler system also requires a mechanical permit from the building official in accordance with 780 CMR.
