The Department of Public Works and Parks Water Division is working to repair a water main break on Grove Street between North Street and Sagamore Road. The break occurred early this morning on a 16-inch main that was installed in 1898.
Area residents can expect rusty water while repairs are made. We advise you to check your cold water taps for discoloration from rust. If you do experience rusty water, delay washing laundry and do not use your hot water taps until the cold water runs clear. The water remains safe to use.
The City of Worcester repairs breaks as quickly as possible and remains mindful of water conservation efforts.
