The Street Sweeping Program is designed to collect sand debris—not to collect yard waste.

Obey posted “No Parking” signs--Violators may be ticketed $50.00 and towed.
Beginning Thursday, May 5, 2022, DPW&P will begin residential street sweeping in Routes 6 and 7 shown in the green shaded area on the map below and online at the following link: http://www.worcesterma.gov/streets/spring-street-sweeping
The DPW&P sweeps residential side streets from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.Residents in the sweeping area should sweep sidewalk debris into the street. Yard waste must not be placed in the street. Yard Waste will not be collected and violators may be fined.
Yard waste facilities are open on Wednesday and Saturdays. Bagged leaves and brush can be taken to 1065 Millbury Street Wednesdays from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Bagged leaves (no brush) may also be taken to the Chandler Street (across from Foley Stadium) or Clark Street (Near East Mtn. St.) drop-off locations on Wednesdays from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm and Saturdays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The street sweeping area in Route 6 are bound by Northeast Cutoff, Tacoma Street, Plantation Street, Interstate 290, Lincoln Street, and the Shrewsbury town line. The sweeping area in route 7 is bound by Norton Drive, West Boylston Street, Gold Star Boulevard, Millbrook Street, Byron Street, Prescott Street, Grove Street, Salisbury Street, Park Avenue, Highland Street, and Wachusett Street.
