The Street Sweeping Program is designed to collect sand debris—not to collect yard waste.

Beginning Wednesday, May 5, 2021, DPW&P will begin residential street sweeping in Routes 27, 29 and 31 shown in the green shaded areas online at the following link: http://www.worcesterma.gov/streets/spring-street-sweeping
The street sweeping areas in Routes 27, 29 and 31 are bounded Fremont Street, Park Avenue, Drury Lane, Highland Street, Lincoln Street, Major Taylor Boulevard, Foster Street, Francis J. McGrath Boulevard and Hammond Street.
Beginning Monday, May 3, 2021, DPW&P will begin residential street sweeping in Route 2 shown in the green shaded areas online at the following link: http://www.worcesterma.gov/streets/spring-street-sweeping
The street sweeping area in Route 2 is bounded by Brooks Street, West Boylston Street, East Mountain Street, Quinapoxet Lane, Burncoat Street, Assumption Avenue and the West Boylston town line.
Residents in the sweeping area should sweep sidewalk debris into the street. Yard waste must not be placed in the street. Yard Waste will not be collected and violators may be fined.
The DPW&P sweeps residential side streets from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Yard waste facilities are open on Wednesday and Saturdays. Bagged leaves and brush can be taken to 1065 Millbury Street Wednesdays from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Bagged leaves (no brush) may also be taken to the Chandler Street (across from Foley Stadium) or Clark Street (Near East Mtn. St.) drop-off locations on Wednesdays from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm and Saturdays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
