Beginning Wednesday, May 15, 2019, DPW&P will begin residential street sweeping in Route 31 shown online at the following link: http://www.worcesterma.gov/streets/spring-street-sweeping
This street sweeping area is bounded by Salisbury St., Major Taylor Blvd., Foster St., Francis McGrath Blvd., Madison St., Chandler St. and Park Ave.
Residents in the sweeping area should sweep sidewalk debris into the street. Yard waste must not be placed in the street. Yard Waste will not be collected and violators may be fined.
The DPW&P sweeps residential side streets from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Yard waste facilities are open on Wednesday and Saturdays. The City’s three Yard Waste sites are open for residents to properly dispose of yard waste. Bagged leaves and brush can be taken to 1065 Millbury Street Wednesdays from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Bagged leaves (no brush) may also be taken to the Chandler Street (across from Foley Stadium) or Clark Street (Near East Mtn. St.) drop-off locations on Wednesdays from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm and Saturdays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
