Beginning Friday, May 3, 2019, DPW&P will begin residential street sweeping in Route 17 shown in online at the following link:
http://www.worcesterma.gov/streets/spring-street-sweeping
This street sweeping area is bounded by Grafton St., Sunderland Rd., Southwest Cutoff, Massasoit Rd., Pineland Ave., Pinecrest Dr., Flint Pond Rd. and the Shrewsbury town line.
Residents in the sweeping area should sweep sidewalk debris into the street. Yard waste must not be placed in the street. Yard Waste will not be collected and violators may be fined.
The DPW&P sweeps residential side streets from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Yard waste facilities are open on Wednesday and Saturdays. The City’s three Yard Waste sites are open for residents to properly dispose of yard waste. Bagged leaves and brush can be taken to 1065 Millbury Street Wednesdays from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Bagged leaves (no brush) may also be taken to the Chandler Street (across from Foley Stadium) or Clark Street (Near East Mtn. St.) drop-off locations on Wednesdays from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm and Saturdays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
