The Cable Services Division has received numerous awards, recognitions and designations for its outstanding programming in recent years. Below is a list of various awards received along with details and information pertaining to each.

Alliance for Community Media - Northeast Region Video Festival

Alliance for Community Media Award LogoThe ACM-NE Video Festival honors and promotes community communications and local cable programs that are first distributed on Public, Educational and Government (PEG) access or Local Origination (LO) cable television channels. Awards are presented to creative programs that address community needs, develop diverse community involvement, challenge conventional commercial television formats and move viewers to experience television in a different way.

The ACM-NE Region includes Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut and New York.

Hometown Media Awards LogoThe Hometown Media Awards honor and promote community media and local cable programs that are distributed on PEG access cable television channels. Awards are presented to creative programs that address community needs, develop diverse community involvement, challenge conventional commercial television formats and move viewers to experience television in a different way. Hometown is local cable's largest video awards competition.

The Communicator Awards

The Communicator Award LogoThe Communicator Awards is the leading international creative awards program honoring creative excellence for communication professionals. Founded by communication professionals over a decade ago, the Communicator Awards is an annual competition honoring the best in advertising, corporate communications, public relations and identity work for print, video, interactive and audio.

National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA) - Government Programming Awards

NATOA Awards LogoThe Government Programming Awards (GPAs) are annual awards that recognize excellence in broadcast, cable, multimedia and electronic programming produced by local government agencies. Categories cover a variety of programming including, among others, community events, documentary, public affairs and public service, interview/talk show, performing arts, sports, election coverage and children's issues. Celebrating over 25 years of programming excellence, the GPAs celebrate the achievements of government programmers across the nation.
