WORCESTER, Mass. – The City of Worcester is inviting owners of residential rental properties to attend its annual Landlord Summit on March 9, 2024, at the DCU Center.
Rental property owners, and those interested in investing in rental properties, can attend the city’s largest landlord event and spend half a day learning about how the city interacts with rental investments. Topics include owning a Historic Property, fire prevention, working successfully with public service agencies, healthy housing and deleading, housing grant programs, and more. The event marks the city's official launch of its Rental Registration Program which requires all owners of residential rental property to register each unit with the city. City Manager Eric D. Batista and Department of Inspectional Services Commissioner Christopher Spencer will review the program requirements and property owners will be able to register their properties at the event.
The event is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There is no cost to attend. Attendees will also get free admission to the 2024 Worcester Home Show, which is being hosted at the DCU Center on Saturday as well.
Attendees this year will have the chance to meet and hear presentations from city officials – including City Manager Batista, Mayor Joseph M. Petty, and the heads of various city departments who commonly interact with property owners – along with subject matter experts in various fields.
This event is organized by the City of Worcester Housing Development Division and the Realtor Association of Central Massachusetts.
