The Worcester Historical Commission and Preservation Worcester are pleased to announce the inaugural recipients of the Worcester Preservation Awards.
This new program was created to recognize outstanding restoration, renovation and development projects that foster historic preservation within the city. Awards will be presented at a ceremony on Wednesday, January 16 at 7 p.m. in the Park View Room (230 Park Avenue).
The five recipients of 2018 Worcester Preservation Awards represent a range of efforts and illustrate that preservation can take many forms, from rehabilitation or long-term care of an existing building, to restoration of public art, to new buildings that respect and reflect their historic surroundings.
