Worcester, MA (February 16, 2017) - Lace up your skates and get ready, because the Worcester Common Oval is gearing up for 10 straight days of winter fun in downtown Worcester.
The Oval skating rink will be open throughout school vacation week, with special guests, fun events and opportunities for FREE skating!
The Oval will be open every day during school vacation week, February 20th - 24th, and during its normal days of operation on the weekends. The rink will be open from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM Monday through Thursday, and 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday. The Oval will be open normal hours, 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, on Saturday and Sunday.
In addition, 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM every day during school vacation week is Trax Power Hour with the Worcester Railers. Come visit with Trax, the mascot of Worcester's new hockey team.
The City's 12,000-square-foot rink, which opened in 2012, is 4,000 square feet larger than the rink at New York City's Rockefeller Center. The Oval has piped-in music, skate rentals, concessions, holiday lights and more, making it a fun and affordable family-friendly activity. The rink is professionally managed by SMG, the DCU Center's talented management team.

Admission for open skate is $5, and free for kids 6 and younger. Skate rentals are $3 with a credit card or $25 cash refundable deposit. The Oval is available for private group rentals, please call (508) 929-0163 for information.
