Worcester, MA (April 17, 2013) - Please be advised that starting Tuesday, April 23, 2013 the sidewalk area around the front and sides of City Hall will be under construction. This is a significant renovation project and is expected to take several months to complete. All City Hall offices, services and access will remain open to the public during construction. Signs will be posted alerting visitors to City Hall about the construction and any potential impacts. The project will be conducted in three phases to minimize interruptions, while still completing the project in a reasonable time frame. Once complete, the project will provide a safe, structurally sound, universally accessible and aesthetically pleasing/functional sidewalk plaza area. It is anticipated that this construction will be completed by November 2013.
The City will continue to keep residents apprised of the project status through Facebook, Twitter, Worcester Government Television (Channel 12) and the City of Worcester website.
