There are a lot of Union Stations in the U.S., and the one in Worcester is among those that caught the eye of a travel magazine.
Condé Nast Traveler named the historic station, which was built in 1911, underwent complete renovations in the '90s and reopened in 2000, one of the 14 most beautiful train stations in the U.S.
In a story posted to their website on Feb. 4, the magazine wrote: "Less than 40 years ago, Worcester's Union Station in Central Massachusetts was in complete disrepair, and Amtrak was actually using a separate station to service the area. But after a restoration in the late '90s, the station is as good as new, with its 175-foot-tall towers rebuilt and stained glass celing and marble floor returned to their former glory."
