WORCESTER, Mass. – The Worcester Division of Public Health (WDPH), UHAI for Health, and Massachusetts Organization of African Descendants (MOAD) will host a conference featuring keynote speakers and discussion with a local panel of experts on the pressing issues surrounding Black Maternal Health in Worcester.
Each year, Black Maternal Health Week is recognized nationally from April 11 - 17 to bring attention and action to improving Black Maternal Health. Founded and led by the Black Mamas Matter Alliance, the week aims to build community awareness and activism as well as amplify the voices, perspectives, and lived experiences of Black Mamas and birthing people.
