Worcester, MA (January 14, 2016) - "Recently, I asked Chief Gemme to make a concerted effort to increase foot patrols and make other tactical adjustments to ensure the safety of the Common and surrounding streets. These arrests show the matter is being taken seriously. While the City is working on multiple levels to combat drug addiction with prevention and recovery-focused efforts, we will not tolerate drug transactions in our public spaces and will continue to work to maintain downtown Worcester as a safe place to live, work and play."
