WORCESTER, Mass. – The Department of Public Works & Parks announced Monday that it is starting planned roadwork on Green Hill Parkway on Monday, July 29.
The roadwork will take place on the parkway from the entrance of Green Hill Park at Channing Street to the Park Road that leads to Green Hill Golf Course. During the work, which will include the addition of new drainage and road reconstruction, portions of the road will be closed.
Those looking to access the park and golf course will need to do so from Belmont Street (Officer Manny Familia Way).
The department anticipates the closure to last for about a month. The project will sometimes require limiting parking in and access to areas within Green Hill Park, including Green Hill Farm, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and the pavilion area.
An attached map shows the impacted area with the blue line representing the complete closure and the red line representing where there will sometimes be full closure or daily closure depending on the work being completed.
