WORCESTER, Mass. – The City of Worcester recently released a Request for Proposals to obtain professional consulting services for the creation of a Housing Production Plan (HPP).
The HPP will provide a comprehensive housing needs and demand assessment to create specific goals and priorities for housing development. The HPP will also identify actionable strategies to leverage municipal tools and local, state, and federal resources to address affordable housing needs. The HPP will be developed in alignment with the Worcester Now | Next long-range plan vision, goals, and recommendations.
The selected consultant will provide an analysis focused on topics including supply and demand, demographic trends, conditions of the existing housing stock, housing affordability, and accessibility.
The HPP and the cost of consultative services are being funded through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ Housing Choice Grant Program.
