As a result of a damaged underground transformer discovered by National Grid, there is a seven block outage of streetlights starting on Chamberlain Parkway (at Pleasant Street) which includes the following streets:
Chamberlain Parkway
South Lenox Street
Tahanto Road at Colonial
Colonial Road
Havelock Road
Morningside Road
This outage includes a total of 24 lights. National Grid expects repairs to be complete and lights restored by the end of the week.
There is a second streetlight outage in the area of Institute Road and Haviland Street as a result of major work being done by National Grid. Streets and public ways impacted are:
Institute Road - from Boynton Street to Haviland Street
Dover Street
Haviland Street
Homer Street
Park Avenue
Massachusetts Ave
Beechmont Street
West Street
These lights will be restored at the completion of the work. Motorists and pedestrians are urged to use extra caution when traveling in these areas.
