Worcester, MA (July 30, 2014) - Please join us as we celebrate the opening of the newly-constructed Blithewood Park. Members of the public are welcomed and encouraged to attend this celebration and bring their families.
WHAT: Ribbon cutting for the new Blithewood Park
WHERE: 10 Blithewood Avenue, Worcester

WHO: Mayor Joseph Petty, City Manager Edward Augustus, District 3 Councilor George Russell, City Councilor Kathleen Toomey, the Grafton Hill Neighborhood Association
Work was recently completed, adding a new playground, fencing and accessible walkway upgrades to the park. The park's gazebo also saw extensive upgrades, including a new roof, repair of worn boards and a complete repainting.
The project cost approximately $350,000.
The City appreciated help from the Grafton Hill Neighborhood Association on the design of this new playground.
