Worcester, MA (October 27, 2010) - Location, Inc., owner and operator of Neighborhood Scout Reports and NeighborhoodScout.com, a national neighborhood data source and search engine, will re-locate its corporate headquarters from Woonsocket, Rhode Island to 86 Shrewsbury Street in Worcester.
The company, which was founded in 2000 and launched NeighborhoodScout.com in 2002, was borne of university research, specializing in nationwide relocation software, retail site selection and real estate investment advising. Today, NeighborhoodScout.com is the most widely-used neighborhood search engine in the world, serving more than 9.4 million homebuyers and businesses since its creation. The company uses patented search technology and exclusive data to build neighborhood profiles that allow individuals and families to instantly find the best neighborhoods for them, simply by entering what they want (e.g., good schools, crime rates, types of neighbors, and up to 50 other criteria) in any part of the United States they choose.
Dr. Andrew Schiller, creator of Neighborhood Scout Reports and a Clark University graduate, said, "the City of Worcester made our search easy. The company currently has two employees, a raft of contractors and intends to hire at least two more employees by the end of this year after relocating to Worcester.
