Worcester, MA (August 21, 2015) - The Worcester Senior Center has announced that this year's Walking Club Field Trip at the Broad Meadow Brook Wildlife Sanctuary on Tuesday, September 22, 2015, will be hosted by the Worcester Mass Audubon Society in partnership with Worcester Academy and Holy Trinity Hospice. Worcester Academy vans will leave the Senior Center for the Sanctuary at 9:30 AM and return at 1:00 PM.
Participants can choose between a 1- or 3-mile walk and will be accompanied by staff from the Senior Center on each one. Along the way, they will visit the Sanctuary's conservation center and see streams, woods, marsh, fields and maybe even some owls and butterflies. Holy Trinity Hospice will provide water and granola bars.
All participants should wear yellow T-shirts, sneakers and dress appropriately for the weather. They should also bring their own lunch, which they can eat on the deck or pavilion at the Sanctuary.
