The City of Worcester announces the Worcester Parks Summer Fitness Series, a 15-week program presented by the Department of Health and Human Services and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, in partnership with YWCA Central Massachusetts.
The program runs from July 19 through Sept. 30, Mondays through Sundays, at eight City parks.
The goal of the program is to provide Worcester residents with opportunities to engage in healthy eating, active living, community building, and spend the summer becoming a healthier Worcester.
No signs-ups or registration fees are required.
Rides on all WRTA buses are free through Dec. 31, and Lyft Codes, with a value of $25 each, may be requested by emailing wfrc@youinc.org or calling 508-796-1411. The code is valid through July 31.
Those who participate in three or more sessions will receive a special YWCA Fitness Membership to gain access to the Fitness Center and pool through Sept. 30. There will be no classes on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 6.
