Worcester, MA (May 2, 2017) - The City of Worcester Commission on Disability is organizing a wheelchair tour downtown to introduce people to a taste of what it is like to navigate in a wheelchair on city streets. Members of the media are invited to participate to get first-hand experience.
WHAT: Worcester Wheelchair Stroll
WHERE: Downtown Worcester (meet at McGrath Parking Lot, next to the Worcester Public Library, 3 Salem Square)
WHEN: 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 23rd
Local elected officials have also been invited to participate. Wheelchair users who have designed the routes will act as leads for each group. The stroll will begin near the library, then end at City Hall, where the group will move to the Levi Lincoln Chamber for a discussion.
