Drop-Off Sites Opening Saturday, April 4, 2015

Worcester, MA (March 17, 2015) - 

• 1065 Millbury Street - Residential Drop-Off and Recycling Center: yard waste and bulk items (bulk items by appointment only)
• Chandler Street - In the parking lot across from Foley Stadium: yard waste only
• Clark Street - Near the East Mountain Street intersection: yard waste only

All three sites are open on Wednesdays from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The Millbury Street site is the only site that is additionally open on Sundays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Yard waste includes leaves, grass, weeds, trimmings and small brush. Any large branches (larger than three feet in length) must be brough to the Millbury Street Drop-Off site. The maximum size of branches allowed is eight feet in length or eight inches in diameter. Tree stumps are not accepted at any site. Though yard waste may be brought in any container, only biodegradable paper bags may be left at the site.

Yard waste won't be accepted at any site from commercial vehicles or landscapers.

City residents may also use the Millbury Street site only to dispose of bulk items. Residents must contact Customer Service 48 hours in advance to schedule the mandatory appointment. Residents must provide an itemized list of the bulk items, must provide proof of residency upon arrival and must pay with either exact cash or a check made out to the City of Worcester. No commercial waste or commercial vehicles will be allowed on site.
