Construction Activity - Week of October 31st

Worcester, MA (October 28, 2016) - The Department of Public Works & Parks (DPW&P) advises motorists that there will be traffic delays at the following locations where resurfacing or sewer related construction activity will take place during the week of October 31, 2016. The usual hours of work will be from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Roadway Resurfacing Related Work
- Apollo Road - Eagle Rd. to Romola Rd.
- Bates Avenue - Greendale Ave. to End
- Circuit Avenue West - Circuit Ave. S. to End of Public Portion
- Faraday Street - Lancaster Terr. to Humboldt Ave.
- Franconia Street - June St. to Howland Terr.
- Franklin Street - Portland St. to McGrath Blvd.
- Greenwood Street - Tatman St. to Rte. 20
- Hamilton Street - Dupont St. to Coburn Ave.
- Hillcrest Avenue - Penhallow Rd. to End
- Ida Road - Dolly Dr. to Sandra Dr.
- Indiana Street - Brightwood Ave. to Everton Ave.
- Jacques Avenue - Wellington St. to Piedmont St.
- Kendall Street - Oak Ave. to Dead End
- Lincoln Street - Brittan Sq. to Dixon Ave.
- Melrose Street - Burncoat St. to Lincoln St.
- Monroe Avenue - Franconia St. to Pleasant St.
- North Lake Avenue - Sonoma Dr. to Nana Trail
Construction started Wednesday, August 3rd. This section of the road will be closed during the day for approximately 4 months.
- Oread Place - Main St. to Alden St.
- Portland Street - Franklin St. to Myrtle St.
- Salem Street - Franklin St. to Myrtle St.
- Shrewsbury Street - Adams St. to Belmont St.
Will be resurfaced on Monday, October 31st and Tuesday, November 1st from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM, weather permitting.
- Sweetbriar Lane - Mill St. to End
- Terrace Dr. - Wetherell St. to Franconia Rd.
- Winthrop Street - Vernon St. to Providence St.
Sewer Reconstruction
- Chelsea Street - Crompton St. to Cambride St.
- Crompton Street - Entire Length
- June Street - Pleasant St. to Chandler St.
At Newton Sq. - Will not be able to drive around rotary.
- Main Street - At Leicester Line
