Complete Count Committee Announced for Census 2020; Campaign Kickoff April 4

Mayor Joseph M. Petty and City Manager Edward M. Augustus Jr. have announced the creation of a Complete Count Committee for Census 2020.
The Complete Count Committee, composed of city, state and federal officials as well as community leaders, aims to increase awareness and motivate residents to respond to the 2020 Census.
Members of the Complete Count Committee will work on forming subcommittees with non-profits, community organizations, universities and religious organizations to facilitate the distribution of important information, answer questions, advertise Census jobs, perform community outreach and host Census-related events.
The City of Worcester’s official Census 2020 campaign kickoff will be held on Thursday, April 4 at the College of the Holy Cross in the Hogan Campus Center Ballroom at 5 p.m. The event will feature music and dance performances as well as a “Best of Worcester Exhibition.” Participants will be provided with general information about the Census as well as an opportunity to learn about available Census jobs.
