As summer rolls on in Worcester, there is plenty to do!
The Color the City Festival, presented by the City of Worcester’s Division of Youth Opportunities and Worcester Cultural Coalition hits Worcester Common Friday night, Aug. 20, 5-9 p.m., with entertainment by local performers, youth artists, plenty of vendors and local organizations taking part. There will also be a skate/roller skate jam, and 508Bikelife will be in the house. Voter registration will be offered, free haircuts will be available from Axe to Grind Barbershop, and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) will hold a Vaccine Clinic for all eligible people, ages 12-up. On Thursday, Aug. 26, Movies on the Lot presents “The Princess Bride” at 8 p.m. in the Franc J. McGrath Municipal Parking Lot, 3 Salem St. The movie is free and parking is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. For more information, and to register in advance, click here.
Also, please note the Out to Lunch performance scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 19, featuring Nikki Luparelli, has been postponed because of rain. The event will now be held Thursday, Aug. 26, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Out to Lunch concert series features a Farmers’ Market, crafters and food vendors. The Department of Health and Human Services will also hold a vaccine clinic during this event.
